About Us
Supporting and connecting groups and individuals across the country who are working to repeal the WEP and GPO
Who We Are:
An all-volunteer group of public service employees, both active and retired, started in the San Francisco Bay Area dedicated to the goal of repeal of the GPO and WEP. We began in March 2009 and have grown steadily over the year. The organization began as a group of educators but welcomes other groups and individuals. Our Goal:
Pass bills in the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives, S 484 and HR 235, to repeal the WEP and the GPO by the end of 2010.
To do this, we must educate and energize retired and active employees and their friends in every state.
Accomplishments to Date:

Accomplishments to Date:
- In March 2009 a first rally was held in San Ramon to determine interest in the cause. It attracted approximately 500 participants. Click to watch the video:
- In April we started a website, www.socialsecurityfairness.com. Video of the rally and personal stories as well as general information about GPO and WEP and links are included. The website is a dynamic effort being updated regularly. In May, a rally, drawing more than 1,250 was held featuring state and national legislative leaders.
- In December 2009 this website was updated with more complete information regarding the issue. We offer the opportunity to join our group, to become involved, to receive our newsletter, and to contact national legislators.
